Small package freight consists of packages weighing 150 pounds or less and are less than 165 inches in length and girth.
- Deliveries are made to Central Receiving and Delivery throughout the day. The companies that make daily deliveries include UPS, FedEx Express, DHL, FedEx Ground, and miscellaneous vendors and couriers.
- Each package is processed by recording the tracking number, vendor, PO if applicable, and delivery address. Delivery manifests are created from the information and it’s uploaded to the WSU main frame into PAPR.
- The campus is divided into three routes. Deliveries are made twice a day to approximately 97 buildings. All air and perishable packages are processed in the morning and delivered that same afternoon. All ground packages are processed throughout the day and delivered the following morning.
